Unique Technology
Consider the names Bill and William. These two names are often used interchangeably. However, after application of security algorithms like hashing/encryption, these two strings lose all ability to be approximately compared with each other. Unlike hashing/encryption, we transform data into a secure format, whilst retaining it's ability to be approximately compared with other datapoints.
Applications of Technology
Once data is transformed into a secure format, it can be used in everything from simple matching problems such as authorising a user based on comparison between newly submitted data and data provided upon enrolment. Or, in large scale matching problems such as figuring out if a user is on a list of criminals using a simultaneous matching of their biometrics, name, address, etc.
As you can imagine, this has a lot of applications! For now, we're focusing on applying this technology in fields such as: Biometrics and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) searches.
